Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

Ensure the continued certification, safety, and operational readiness of all weight handling equipment
Develop procedures providing technical instruction to operate and maintain weight handling equipment
Issue specifications for new designs and equipment upgrades to support the procurement of new equipment
Perform field engineering activities and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use
Electrical engineers: support of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), AC & DC power supply systems, AC & DC motor drives, and instrumentation and control (I&C) systems
Conduct internal and external audits and surveillances to validate compliance and identify opportunities for improvement

Required

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company
All candidates must be U.S. citizens
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
FMP is a government contractor and maintains a drug free workplace and workforce
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred

Crane and heavy equipment design, manufacturing, welding, testing, operations, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience
Strong technical communications and team building skills
Ability to manage and organize tasks effectively
Project Management experience including schedule development, risk management, and stakeholder communications
