Senior Analyst, Alumni Relations
Tulane University is seeking a Senior Analyst for Alumni Relations to provide data analysis that supports decision-making in Alumni Relations and Advancement. The role involves synthesizing data from various sources and communicating findings through reports and dashboards to diverse audiences.

Providing data analysis to departments in Alumni Relations and Advancement to support evidence-based decision making
Identifying and synthesizing data from a variety of sources to address customer needs
Producing sound statistical findings and communicating these findings in meaningful ways to diverse audiences, internally and externally, through summary reports, dashboards, and/or interactive online data displays
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3+ years direct experience (transferable experience may be considered)

Presentation Skills - More regular interaction with representatives and colleagues; drafting of presentations for senior colleague review and increasing participation in presentation meetings
Project Management - Acquires full responsibility for organizing small to moderate special projects, mainly related to data collection/management and workflow, initiated by senior team members. Involved in working with colleagues at large to collect information
Prospect Research & Data Management - Mastery of data management tools; generates reports for distribution on a regular basis for senior colleagues
Relationship Building - Occasionally, leading meetings with team members. Regular written communication with leaders with supervisor review. External relationships: adept at written communication of an informational/technical nature with external customers. Occasional use of written communication of a more formal nature, with supervisor review a direction
Technological Awareness - Advanced knowledge of technological programs and software. Continuously enhances technical skills and learns new ones by seeking out training opportunities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Primarily office/sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
Usually work a standard 40-hour week
May work nights, weekends, and holidays, on occasion, to help with scheduled events
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Nearly always work indoors
May on occasion, be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment
SPECIAL REQUIRED ABILITY FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES: Ability to complete and pass successfully the required occupational health screening referenced in the University's Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program on an annual basis
REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK, PHYSICAL, AND DRUG SCREENING FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES: Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended
