Responsibilities

Lead concurrent engineering efforts from concept through production transition

Manage schedule and budgetary execution for IRAD, CRAD, and Advanced Program initiatives

Oversee assembly, test, integration, automation, and complex electrical/mechanical processes

Mentor and review work of the manufacturing engineering team across multiple LM sites

Drive process improvement and engineering change incorporation to meet critical schedules

Preferred

Active Secret security clearance

Experience with product manufacturability and design-for-cost for development programs (R&D, IRAD, CRAD)

Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

Experience in capacity and capital planning

Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods

Statement of work and proposal development experience

Experience with make-buy generation and strategy

Knowledge of Manufacturing Readiness Level and/or Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRL/MRA 1–8)
