BCM Temporary - Administrative Support - HR Benefits

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a temporary Administrative Support for the HR Benefits team. This role involves assisting in the administration of benefits programs and new employee onboarding functions while providing customer service and maintaining personnel files.

Responsibilities

Assists in the coordination and administration of benefits programs; provides routine support services
Greets visitors, answers phone, takes messages, routes calls and follows-up; responds to inquiries via phone and email and/or refers as appropriate
Maintains employee records, including status updates, terminations, and new hires
Performs reviews and verification of data on employee information system, files, and/or forms
Assists in the collection of employee information for reports and statistical research
Answers employee questions and troubleshoots issues
Processes I-9's for new hire employment verification
Assists new hires in completion of new hire paperwork including technical troubleshooting and password reset functions
Assists with special projects as needed

Required

High school diploma or GED
Three years of relevant experience
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment

Preferred

Experience with new hire onboarding and orientation
Experience with employer sponsored health insurance benefit plan administration
Front Desk experience in professional office environment
Customer service experience
