Responsibilities

Leverage our unique data used to power innovative tools to address business challenges

Write SQL/Presto/Trino/Spark queries to extract the necessary data and leverage data visualization tools such as Tableau to present the information

Take existing queries or dashboards and optimize them to run more efficiently/consistently while building in automated checks and controls to proactively flag any problems

Handle incoming support requests to ensure our end users' experience is bug-free and efficient

Experiment with and implement enhancements to various internal data tools to improve usefulness for the broader team

Required

2+ years of experience with data analysis

2+ years of experience with PowerPoint and Excel (Microsoft suite)

2+ years working with SQL and data visualization tools to query large data-sets (e.g., Presto/Trino, Spark SQL, Tableau, etc.)

BA/BS degree

Preferred

Experience with data storytelling, turning data into insights, and presenting to internal and/or external stakeholders

Experience with product, data engineering, or sales analytics and/or data science

Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without authority

Experience with project management

Strong business acumen, creative problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and desire & ability to learn

Expert knowledge of SQL – excited about opportunities to optimize/tune queries, join datasets with billions of rows, and optimize performance

Knowledge of Hadoop (Presto/Spark), git, & Tableau

The ability to provide a business lens to analytical and technical problems, build alliances across the company, and translate user feedback into tool requirements
