Responsibilities

Ensures that the title on properties are valid
Examines all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. to verify factors such as ownership or restrictions
Researches all title evidence required
Obtains descriptions of properties and names of involved parties
Examines individual titles to determine if any restrictions apply
Prepares reports that describe any title obstructions
Consults with pre-closer regarding title-related information
Enters data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment and other documents required by lender
The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
