Responsibilities

Work with an experienced team of engineers to establish and communicate bounding conditions of safe operation for the reactor core, reactor coolant system, balance of plant, containment systems, engineered safeguards, and auxiliary equipment of the Dominion Energy nuclear units
Work with an experienced team of engineers to support the maintenance of plant configurations consistent with the safety analyses
Work with an experienced team of engineers to modify safety analyses in support of plant design changes or fuel changes
Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities to maintain and enhance our role in supporting safe and efficient plant operation

Required

Ability to effectively operate a personal computer and workstation computer, including standard Microsoft applications and Linux
Ability to define problems, collect information, evaluate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions in a time-critical environment
Ability to maintain a professional orientation, communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, and work effectively in teams and independently under own initiative
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (with a Nuclear focus) from an ABET accredited program at a four year college or university
Student must have an anticipated graduation in Fall 2027 or later
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
