They are seeking a Data Analyst Intern for the summer to develop and implement a materials database that improves data accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency in materials management.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements for the materials database
Assist in the design and development of the database structure, ensuring it meets the needs of various stakeholders
Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to populate the database
Develop data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity
Create user-friendly dashboards and reports to facilitate data access and analysis for end-users
Document database processes, structures, and user guidelines for future reference
Provide support and training to team members on how to use the database effectively
Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Master's degree or a recent graduate in Data Science / Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a dynamic project
Preferred
Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is desirable
