Senior Manager Software Engineering

Responsibilities
Own delivery: Guide two teams to ship secure, high‑quality features on time. Apply traditional analytics and GenAI where they measurably improve user outcomes
Empower and develop teams: Oversee performance of individual team members and the team. Identify and address staff training and development needs. Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous growth. Attract, mentor, and retain individual team members
Provide technical support and direction: Coordinate walkthroughs and reviews ensuring conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications
Develop leaders: Coach tech leads. Build an inclusive, high‑performance culture across dispersed U.S. and global teams
Cross-functional influence: Balance technical capabilities with business priorities in partnership with Product, Analytics, Platform, and Operations
Communicate with clarity: Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Share progress, risks, and opportunities with senior leadership and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives
Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements
Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace
Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages
Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design
Knowledge of software quality assurance and testing; ability to apply appropriate processes, tools, and techniques for assuring a high level of quality in computer software products and systems
Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) service; ability to manage IT services and oversee service operations
Preferred
Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science, or engineering, or related field Or equivalent working experience
Experience in Software Engineering, with proven experience delivering and maintaining performant and complex enterprise scale applications, in languages including but not limited to Java, Typescript, Javascript, or Python
Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining cloud systems
Experience in testing, production system monitoring, and observability
