Responsibilities
Maintain acute awareness of policy shifts (e.g., new legislation, executive orders, regulatory adjustments), identify their impact on specific industries, and pinpoint subtle yet potentially high-return opportunities arising from these changes
Leverage deep understanding of policy texts to convert government regulations and policy documents into actionable market insights for investment strategies
Leveraging experience within government institutions to analyze the underlying implications of governmental actions, fiscal policies, and trade regulations, and discern how these drive growth in emerging technology industries such as rare earths and artificial intelligence
Collaborate with investment teams to translate policy-driven insights into actionable strategies. Provide portfolio construction recommendations based on emerging policy trends and regulatory shifts
Author concise, high-level reports and presentations, distilling complex policy documents into clear, actionable investment insights
Continuously track global and regional policy shifts, government decisions, and geopolitical dynamics, analyzing their potential market impacts and identifying policy-driven opportunities
Qualification
Required
10+ years of policy analysis experience within government agencies, regulatory bodies, or international organizations
Ability to keenly identify shifts in policy language (e.g., new bills, reform proposals, executive orders) and translate them into investment opportunities
Proven experience analyzing policy documents, executive orders, legislative texts, and government reports, translating them into actionable investment insights
Individuals deeply skilled in policy analysis (rather than financial market analysis), with a core focus on identifying policy-driven opportunities
Preferred
Experience with legislative and regulatory change
Familiarity with government terminology and the ability to translate policy language into investment language
Experience navigating regulatory frameworks, fiscal policy reforms, and trade regulations impacting emerging sectors
Strong public sector networking capabilities, including engagement with policymakers, government officials, and industry regulators
