Responsibilities

Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications, mobile apps, and backend APIs

Perform end-to-end testing of payment processing workflows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks

Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience across platforms

Test payment integrations with third-party processors, gateways, and financial institutions

Validate data integrity across distributed systems and databases

Test real-time features including transaction monitoring, notifications, and webhooks

Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and other automation frameworks

Develop API test automation for backend services and RESTful APIs

Create and maintain test scripts for regression, smoke, and integration testing

Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and other tools

Optimize test execution for speed and reliability

Monitor and maintain test automation infrastructure to ensure stability

Work independently to plan and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and risk assessment

Communicate closely with engineers to understand technical implementation and identify potential issues early

Participate in sprint planning and estimation to provide QA perspective on feature complexity

Identify and document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority

Track and report on quality metrics including defect rates, test coverage, and automation effectiveness

Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports

Document testing procedures and best practices for the QA team

Maintain test case repositories in TestRail or similar test management tools

Write clear, detailed bug reports that enable efficient resolution

Create testing guides and runbooks for common scenarios and edge cases

Document automation frameworks and testing infrastructure

Leverage AI tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage

Utilize AI-powered test generation tools to create comprehensive test scenarios

Implement AI-based visual testing for UI validation and regression detection

Use AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test script development

Explore intelligent test optimization to identify high-risk areas and prioritize testing efforts

Stay current with AI advancements in software testing and quality assurance

Test mobile applications across multiple browsers using BrowserStack or similar tools

Conduct mobile testing on iOS and Android devices (physical and emulated)

Perform responsive design testing to ensure optimal experience across screen sizes

Conduct security testing for payment data handling and PCI-DSS compliance

Test authentication and authorization mechanisms

Validate data encryption in transit and at rest

Perform vulnerability assessments on web and mobile applications

Test compliance with payment industry regulations and standards
