Responsibilities

Remote field work in the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Guadalupe Mountains of Texas
The Incumbent must be able to work almost entirely outdoors in inclement conditions and be able to carry up to 40lbs of equipment up to 5km over uneven and rugged terrain
Duties will also include data entry and database management, and some lab analyses per project protocols

Required

Students who are working on a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one year of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
The Incumbent must be able to work almost entirely outdoors in inclement conditions and be able to carry up to 40lbs of equipment up to 5km over uneven and rugged terrain
Duties will also include data entry and database management, and some lab analyses per project protocols
Communicating with others to exchange information
Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces
Lifting and Moving objects up to 50 pounds
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another

Preferred

A knowledge of birds of the LRGV of Texas and experience collecting radio telemetry data are preferred
