Responsibilities

Adhere to processes defined in the Project Management Plan
Understand and clarify the requirements and design
Creates technical specifications on case-by-case basis
Prepare unit test plan and data as per the requirements and design
Perform unit testing and document the results
Provide test support in relevant stages
Implement and adhere to secure coding guidelines and Conduct peer review of deliverables
Escalate risks or issues to Scrum Master, Project Owner, and Development Manager as per project plan
Coordinate with clients on requirements and information related to commitment work
Implement permanent fix for defects or changes due to production-related issues
Provide weekend validation due to system updates
Exhibits effective problem-solving competence for various programming challenges
Can think logically and writes/analyzes source code independently
Manages Time Effectively
Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

Qualification

Required

Experience using Cobol, JCL, DB2 and IMS
8+ years of experience in mainframe technologies
Experience on the Tools like INSYNC, XPEDITER, DUMP-M and CONTROL-M
Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles - Agile software development
Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

Exposure to Banking and Financial domain
Production Support experience
