Maintenance Manager
Confidential Jobs is a leading manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement. The role involves managing the maintenance department, ensuring a safe work environment, and developing team members to support high-performance operations.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Maintenance Department to support all production operations and equipment
Champion a safe work environment with a zero‑incident mindset
Achieve or exceed targets for equipment uptime, issue resolution, and organizational support
Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to help create a world‑class manufacturing environment
Develop and mentor maintenance team members to reach their full potential
Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional leaders
Ensure all equipment and systems meet or exceed OEM performance specifications
Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and support operator‑led maintenance activities
Support achievement of OEE and other key operational metrics
Develop and improve Total Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
Establish and execute overall maintenance strategy for the organization
Ensure rapid and effective response to line‑down and critical issues
Maintain proper readiness for equipment failures, including spare parts and staffing
Drive root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions
Participate in production, staff, and project meetings as needed
Secure competitive pricing and optimal delivery for materials and services
Maintain accurate accounting and control of maintenance inventory
Support equipment acquisition, installation, and commissioning
Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture
Drive and support 6S initiatives
Participate in benchmarking activities to support world‑class manufacturing goals
Clearly define expectations, goals, and performance standards for team members
Provide timely, accurate coaching and feedback
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Facilities, Industrial) or equivalent experience
Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
Experience with robotics and RSLogix PLC software
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, stamping, and robotic equipment (including ABB and Motoman)
Proven ability to lead skilled technicians and maximize uptime
Experience with Allen‑Bradley PanelView HMI systems, variable‑frequency drives, and reduced‑voltage starters
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
Experience managing predictive maintenance programs
Preferred
Preferred experience with e‑coat, powder coat, pad printing, and automated systems (presses, brakes, shears)
Working knowledge of ProfiBus, DeviceNet, and AS‑Interface systems
