Akkodis is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer for a contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role requires strong hands-on Kubernetes and AWS expertise while onboarding applications to NKP and automating infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Engineer, deploy, and manage Kubernetes‑based platforms across hybrid infrastructures, including AWS and Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP)

Onboard applications to Kubernetes environments, ensuring proper configuration, networking, security, and integration with CI/CD pipelines

Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, and Python scripting

Support capacity planning, monitoring, performance tuning, and upgrades for Kubernetes clusters and AWS cloud environments

Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams to define best practices, improve processes, and ensure consistent solution design

Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize cluster performance, and drive continuous improvement in automation, standardization, and operational reliability

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

5–7+ years of experience working with hybrid infrastructure architectures and Kubernetes platform engineering

Strong hands‑on Kubernetes engineering expertise with experience in AWS, EKS, Terraform/Ansible automation, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins)

Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, and standardized Kubernetes platform solutions
