Responsibilities

With some direction, define and decompose requirements for the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems of aircraft
Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to establish specifications, perform evaluations, and plan performance testing
Formulate conceptual designs for continuous and discrete control systems, developing lower-level requirements to meet customer needs and business goals, with emphasis on precise thermal management control and reliability
Develop advanced mathematical models or other computer-based analysis methods to create, evaluate, or modify designs in accordance with customer engineering requirements
Perform system-level analyses of thermal fluid systems and prepare technical reports detailing findings and recommendations
With some direction, create and implement common procedures and standard work across the organization
Investigate test results to ensure consistency with performance predictions and compliance with system requirements

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Preferred

2 years of experience working in the Aerospace, Automotive, or Oil & Gas industry (preferred)
Experience in requirements definition and decomposition
Experience with Model-Based Design engineering
Demonstrated proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, DOORS, Python, SysML
Experience presenting to management and customers
Experience with task-level planning and project execution
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
