Network Specialist I
Bank of Stockton is seeking a Network Specialist I who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the organization’s Windows-based systems and user computing devices. The role involves providing first-level technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining overall IT operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Respond to and resolve technical inquiries and issues reported by users via ticketing system, phone, email, chat, and in-person support
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including:
Windows operating system issues
Network connectivity problems
Peripheral device malfunctions (printers, scanners, etc.)
Application and software errors
Guide users through troubleshooting steps and provide clear, easy-to-understand explanations of solutions
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff or specialized support teams while tracking issues through resolution
Install, configure, and deploy new IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
Configure workstations to meet organizational functional and security specifications
Maintain and manage IT asset inventory, including tracking, labeling, and documentation
Support and troubleshoot mobile devices and related applications
Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of networking devices
Ensure stable wired and wireless network connectivity across locations
Accurately document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the Help Desk ticketing system
Create and maintain knowledge base articles and internal documentation for common support issues
Monitor, service, track, and report Help Desk technical support calls
Travel to branch offices and organizational locations as required to install, support, and maintain IT and network equipment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Help maintain storeroom cleanliness and inventory
Install and maintain operating system patches, security updates, and vendor updates
Generate reports related to system performance, security, and support activity
Reset passwords and assist with account-related issues (e.g., Active Directory)
Assist with VoIP system support and troubleshooting
Serve as backup for Computer Operator duties, including printing and ACH processing
Qualification
Required
Associate degree (AA/AS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1–2 years of experience in IT support, network support, or a related technical role
2 or more years of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
2 or more years of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switches, cabling, VLANs, and Wi-Fi
2 or more years installing, configuring, and troubleshooting workstations, printers, and network-connected devices
2 or more years with standard hardware and software troubleshooting methodologies
2 or more years to follow documented procedures and escalate issues appropriately
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the organization
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to travel to branch offices and organizational locations as required
