The role involves patient scheduling, regulatory compliance, and maintaining efficient workflow while supporting radiologic technologists and patients.

Responsibilities
Answer phones promptly and professionally; triage calls as appropriate
Work in conjunction with Central Scheduler to schedule imaging exams based on provider orders, urgency, and departmental protocols
Confirm insurance eligibility and required authorizations prior to entering order/charge
Ensure imaging orders include required clinical information and diagnoses
Maintain accurate patient records within the EHR/RIS
Maintain mammography tracking logs and follow-up documentation in compliance with MQSA
Coordinate outside imaging studies and reports
Support radiologic technologists and assist patients as needed
Monitor and maintain monthly department supply inventory
Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and external facilities
All other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
BLS Certification within 3 months of hire
