Responsibilities

Develop business opportunities with executives at prospective DCS customers through lead generation efforts by interacting through telephone, email communications, marketing efforts, etc
Network within internal stakeholders to strategize and collaborate on prospecting activities
Work with Market Research Analyst within region to plan and deliver marketing efforts in a given region
Meet or exceed meeting quota standards set forth by management (e.g., contacts per week, meetings per month)
Maintain a pipeline of prospective executive-level customer contacts and sales leads for assigned Business Development Executives; actively maintain the pipeline using the company sales contact database
Schedule introductory meetings with prospective executive-level customers and Business Development Executives, by successfully communicating our transportation service offerings
Evaluate prospective business opportunities using a prescribed customer qualification process
Limited business travel is required when applicable. (internal events, customer meetings, etc.)

Required

High School Diploma/GED
2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, AND /or equivalent military experience
Demonstration of strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships
Experience in generating leads and distributing to sales personnel
Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
Accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Experience in learning internal sales/lead generation systems
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
Ability to perform in a stressful and high-pressure work environment

Preferred

Bachelors in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field
1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, sales, marketing and/or equivalent military experience
