Dip Operator (81605)

The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The Dip Operator will be responsible for dipping core blocks in a dip tank with resin and curing them in an oven, while also maintaining records of materials used.

Responsibilities

Turns afterburner and Nomex oven on/off as required
Uses programs for dipping loaves
Adds resin and alcohol to tank as needed
Cleans dipping frames and tank as needed.  Calculates and records the amount of alcohol and resin used per block
Weighs loaves before and after dipping, and records on work order
Sets oven temperature controls and places dipped units in oven to bake and dry for specified time
Records densities and all other necessary information on work order
Reports labor and issues material to Visual software
Must be available any shift, over-time and weekends
Other duties may be assigned dependent on TGC business requirements

Qualification

Forklift CertificationMath skillsRelated experienceLift 50 lbsEnglish communication

Required

High School Diploma
Good math skills
One or two years of related experience and/or training
Acceptable Spirometry Test results (full/ half respirator use)
Must be able to lift, push & pull a minimum of 50 lbs
Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies
Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays

Preferred

Forklift Certification a plus
