Alexander Youth Network is seeking an EHR Implementation Assistant to support the implementation of the NextGen EHR system. The role involves maintaining and supporting electronic health record systems, assisting with data entry, ensuring system integrity, and providing technical assistance to staff.

Responsibilities

Learn and adapt to new EHR systems, actively participating in design, development, and implementation of system enhancements and workflows

Collaborate with clinical teams to understand their needs and workflows, ensuring the new system supports efficient and accurate patient care processes

Assist in quality assurance testing and performance validation of the new EHR system to ensure reliability, compliance, and user satisfaction

Support project activities by helping manage resources according to schedules, reinforcing deadlines, and applying project standards

Help document report projects and changes to existing reports and contribute to developing guidelines for report standardization

Provide general support to staff as needed

Required

Candidates with demonstrated interest in computer systems and technology—such as completion of relevant courses or certifications—are strongly encouraged

1-3 years of experience working in behavioral health environment

Knowledge of behavioral health terminology and healthcare workflows

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in data entry and database management

Excellent communication and training abilities

Understanding of HIPAA and data security standards

Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging

Understand basic Internet and client/server architectures

Understand how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects

Effectively communicate with team members and contribute appropriately to conversations
