The Digital Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, manufacture, testing, and deployment of integrated PCBAs for space customers, collaborating with a team to develop robust communication systems.

Responsibilities

Perform trades and analyses of board architecture and component selection

Schematic capture and layout of space-grade PCBs

Bringup and testing of new designs

Coordinating RF engineers for effectively bridging analog and digital domains

Design for performance under space-grade acceptance, qualification, and compliance requirements

Working with mechanical engineers to ensure proper thermal dissipation of the device

Work with supply chain counterparts to enable rapid manufacture and iteration of components

Required

Proven experience designing boards using EDA tools

Excellent understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals

Strong experience designing and bringing up compute modules with the Xilinx Zynq MPSoC or equivalent platform

Experience designing power trees with complex sequencing requirements

Experience developing interfaces to large numbers of onboard chipsets (SPI/I2C/UART)

U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent resident status, protected individual status, or eligibility to secure necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
