The Lead Program Consultant will serve as a subject matter expert for the Local Educational Agency Medi-Cal Billing Option Program, coordinating program policy implementation and providing consultative advice to program partners.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for the Local Educational Agency Medi-Cal Billing Option Program (LEA BOP) Provider Relations Unit

Independently lead and perform a variety of complex administrative health program management and highly technical analytical tasks necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the LEA BOP

Coordinate the implementation of program policy and problem resolution recommendations with multiple departmental, immediate, and long-range impacts

Provide consultative advice to various program partners regarding program policy

Act as a program subject matter expert (SME) as it relates to outreach activities and materials

Serve as a SME within the unit in development of public health and health care projects; apply health regulations, policies and procedures; speak and write effectively, and act as program liaison

Foster a collaborative and communicative atmosphere with program partners, contracted resources, and coworkers

Required

Must meet the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification for Health Program Specialist I

Must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with the application

Must provide a current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application

Must include a resume with the application

Competency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required

Preferred
