Responsibilities

Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Design, develop, and maintain electronic trading components
Apply low-level programming techniques to optimize trading software for low latency
Collaborate with business partners and team members to enhance Algo order offerings
Support the execution platform and provide second line support for trading operations
Contribute to the development and maintenance of global trading systems

Required

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Core Java, Multithreading
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, system design, threading implications, and strategies for optimizing performance-sensitive code
Apply knowledge of threading and performance optimization strategies
Work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment
Possess strong Linux or Unix skills and understanding of networking topologies, including TCP and UDP
Exhibit attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Learn quickly and apply new skills effectively
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred

Relevant markets Electronic Trading experience
Utilize scripting skills, with Python will be an advantage
Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve issues efficiently
Work independently as well as part of a team
