Senior Director, Business Development - Strategic Accounts (US)
CluePoints is a technology scale-up redefining how clinical trials are run through Risk-Based Quality Management and Data Quality Oversight software. The Senior Director, Business Development will play a pivotal role in expanding CluePoints’ footprint across top-25 global pharmaceutical clients, focusing on securing and developing multi-year, high-value engagements with major Life Sciences organizations.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to acquire, grow, and retain large enterprise accounts across global top-25 pharma organisations
Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their priorities, challenges, and long-term roadmap
Create and maintain strategic account plans that clearly articulate opportunities, value drivers, and engagement pathways
Collaborate closely with Product, Sales Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success to design tailored solutions that demonstrate clear business impact
Partner with senior leadership to leverage relationships and drive high-value enterprise partnerships
Meet or exceed bookings, revenue, and expansion targets within enterprise segments
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive movements, and market dynamics to guide account strategy
Represent CluePoints at industry events, conferences, and forums, strengthening brand visibility and thought leadership
Maintain accurate account activity and forecasting within CRM systems, ensuring clarity and accountability across the sales cycle (+/- 10% of goal)
Qualification
Required
A strong record of success selling complex, multi-year SaaS enterprise solutions to large Life Sciences organisations
Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline generation and manage complex sales cycles of 7+ figure deals
Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle and the eClinical, pre-clinical or RBQM ecosystem
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to navigate multi-functional decision-making environments
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously
10+ years of experience selling into pharma, biotech, and/or CRO organisations
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
Preferred
Experience within a high-growth technology scale-up environment
Familiarity with GCP, RBQM, or data analytics tools
Additional language skills
