2026 Summer Intern – Fabrication Design

Responsibilities

During your internship, you will learn various design fabrication techniques, including:
Digital surfacing for proof of concept and proof of concept (POC) models
Developing b-side and building surface data for show vehicle fabrication
Building sections based on collected information
Assisting studio personnel in solving engineering and design problems
Creating and maintaining assemblies for diverse projects
Performing basic assessment of surface quality

Required

Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design
Must be graduating Dec 2026 – May 2028
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
You must submit a Portfolio to be considered for this position

Preferred

Knowledge of digital software such as Alias Design or other CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Analytical skills to solve complex problems
Familiarity with fabrication processes, equipment, and materials
Previous experience in fabrication is preferred
