Responsibilities

Conducting observational and contextual research

Performing task analysis and use-related risk analysis

Conducting heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs

Designing and running usability tests

Analyzing data and performing root cause analysis

Writing research reports

Preparing HFE documentation for regulatory submissions

Applying industry standards (e.g., FDA guidance, IEC 62366, HE75)

Building client relationships and contributing to business development

Qualification

Required

PhD or Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology (Cognitive, Social, etc.), Biomedical Engineering, or a related field

Bachelor's degree + equivalent experience will also be considered

Ability to conduct observational and contextual research

Ability to perform task analysis and use-related risk analysis

Ability to conduct heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs

Ability to design and run usability tests

Ability to analyze data and perform root cause analysis

Ability to write research reports

Ability to prepare HFE documentation for regulatory submissions
