Electrical Inspector - Lightning Protection, Part Time Remote, Mid-West USA
Intertek is a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, and they are seeking a part-time Electrical Inspector - Lightning Protection to join their team. The role involves performing field inspections of lightning protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards and communicating with clients regarding the inspection results.

Responsibilities
Perform inspections of lightning protection systems on buildings and structures as required by applicable LPI, NFPA and UL standards
Complete reports summarizing the inspection work completed onsite
Make judgments regarding compliance in terms of applicable standards
Communicate and coordinate with clients while planning visits to work locations
Perform other work as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in the construction or electrical trades, preferably as an Installer, Technician, Electrician, Contractor or Electrical Inspector
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Ability to work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to adhere to site PPE requirements and work safely on an active construction site
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to be responsive and provide good customer communication and service
Ability to work a flexible schedule, with hours ranging from 0 to 40+ per week
Must have access to the internet
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Ability to travel 75% as needed, including air and overnight travel
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to lift/carry at least 40 pounds. Ability to climb at least 30 feet. Ability to work with various level of noise
This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States
Applicants will be required to complete an I-9 to verify their eligibility to work in the U.S
