This position involves assisting with various administrative tasks, attending meetings, and supporting the Chancellor's office while providing a professional experience for students.

Responsibilities
Attending monthly meetings with the Special Assistant to the Chancellor to reflect on student life, campus culture, core principles, and leadership decisions
Organizing Board materials and taking part in three Board meetings per year
Assisting with special projects pertaining to Board documents, memorandums, logistics, current events, etc
Submitting semesterly reflections on your experience as a System Fellow
Covering the front desk during lunch hours and other times as requested
Answering a multi-line phone system
Copying, scanning, filing, and mailing documents
Setting up and breaking down conference rooms for meetings and events
Distributing packages and mail
Taking inventory of and stocking supplies
Making deliveries and handling courier assignments in Tuscaloosa
Exhibiting a professional attitude with all staff, visitors, and other student assistants
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a UA System Campus undergraduate degree program at UA, UAB or UAH
Must be registered for at least six (6) credit hours during Fall/Spring semesters
Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week
Ability to prioritize duties in a manner that allows for flexibility in responding to changing demands
Initiative to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and provide appropriate status updates
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills on telephone, in person, and via email
Must be age 19 and have three years of driving experience
