Engineering Manager
LANTANA LED, Inc. is a San Francisco-based lighting design and manufacturing company focused on creating innovative, high-quality niche market solutions. They are seeking an Engineering Manager to design, develop, and validate LED fixtures while leading mechanical product development from concept through production.

Responsibilities
Engineering and mechanical design of LED fixtures, ensuring quality, performance, and manufacturability
Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks
Create accurate 2D drawings and documentation to support manufacturing and vendor quoting
Produce rapid prototypes using SolidWorks and 3D printing to iterate and validate designs before release
Collaborate with the Director of Product and Design Manager on all new product introductions
Coordinate with Underwriters Laboratories to obtain UL listings for fixtures
Test fixtures to ensure compliance with UL standards and internal performance requirements
Work with Operations to ensure pre-production prototypes meet requirements before release
Ensure accurate part numbers, current drawings, and proper documentation are used throughout the sourcing process
Communicate effectively with vendors to support quoting, manufacturing, and quality assurance activities
Serve as product designer and engineer on assigned projects, translating designs into parts, pieces, and assemblies
Prepare and maintain BOMs, project documentation, inputs/outputs, and engineering change records
Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or similar). Electrical emphasis is preferred
Strong understanding of DFM sheet metal design, injection molding, extrusion, and casting
Minimum 4 years of SolidWorks experience, including PDM
Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Professional, reliable, and dedicated work ethic
Preferred
Technical knowledge of electrical and lighting products
Minimum 2 years of experience working with electrical or lighting products
Familiarity with UL standards and certification processes
Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
