Responsibilities
Schedule onsite specialty provider appointments for dental and optometry, completes referrals, notifies participants of appointments, and coordinates transportation
Oversee and record the care provided by specialty providers on-site, documenting appointment notes in the EMR. Maintain meticulous tracking and reporting of this data. Guarantee the timely receipt of medical reports from specialty providers and scan into the EMR. Effectively communicate medical treatment requests from specialty providers to the primary care providers for their approval
Audit the EMR immunization documentation and ensure compliance with required processes
Complete participant immunizations tracking and updating MICR as well as quarterly reporting for CMS and state of Michigan
Track and update MICR, provide required reporting for annual staff influenza vaccinations
Complete medical record audits for compliance with CMS and state of Michigan requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience working in a clinic, physician office or emergency room
EMR documentation experience highly valued
Strong computer and tech skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to manage multiple tasks comfortably while staying organized and professional
Preferred
Associate's degree in office management or related field
