Sr., Engineer II or Engineer I- Generator Interconnection
Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is dedicated to delivering reliable electricity and fostering strong relationships among its employees. They are seeking experienced engineers for their Generator Interconnection team to perform electrical engineering analyses and project management in support of GI studies.

Responsibilities
Performing electrical engineering analyses and basic project management in support of the GI studies at SPP
Performing model development, power flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analysis in accordance with SPP’s Generator Interconnection Procedures
Navigate engineering concepts and tools
Work within the SPP Tariff
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Exercise appropriate engineering judgment
Work well within the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, this degree should be from a university that meets the requirements to sit for the Professional Engineering exam (in Arkansas, that is most typically a degree from an ABET accredited university or a graduate degree from a college that has an ABET accreditation)
Senior – Five (5) years of job-related work experience; Professional Engineer License may satisfy one year of experience requirement
Level II – Two (2) years of job-related work experience
Level I - no experience required
Ability to work and collaborate with managers and employees at all levels to exchange ideas, information, and opinions to facilitate the task
Ability to make decisions, interpret data, and problem solve
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; use hands to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Preferred
Preferred degree programs are Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering
