Division Budget Analyst

Responsibilities

Provide advanced-level financial and administrative expertise and leadership to support multiple departments and/or a significant program area within the division
Serve in an advisory role to the Vice President with strategic financial planning and decision-making
Independently analyze complex budgetary issues
Make strategic recommendations
Lead special projects to enhance the division’s fiscal and operational efficiency
Analyze and assess the return on investment for programs within the division
Provide the Vice President with budget allocations

Required

Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and ability to collaborate across organizational lines
Expertise in using financial systems, data analysis tools, and software packages
Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved
Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business administration, finance or a closely related field and four years of related professional experience
Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
