Enterprise Solutions Principal (Power and Utilities)
SoftServe is a leading consulting firm, and they are seeking an Enterprise Solutions Principal to enhance their business strategy through trusted client relationships and innovative solutions. The role focuses on enterprise product management, digital strategy, and solutions consulting, requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
Support business development within SoftServe
Participate in multidiscipline sales teams contributing technical subject matter expertise at a consultant/advisor level
Meet with, cooperate with, and coordinate prospective and existing clients to gain an understanding of their business strategy, objectives, transformation initiatives in progress, business requirements, and technology infrastructure; propose solutions aligned with their strategy
Contribute and ideate in large, ambiguous enterprise technical and business projects
Clearly demonstrate to clients how SoftServe uniquely addresses their stated needs
Identify and propose technology solutions not already envisioned by clients
Identify and propose business process improvements
Define and document the business cases for proposed solutions
Define and own the vision and scope of proposed solutions, including sign-off from all stakeholders
Foster trust with key client management and stakeholders in order to gain advisory status and ultimately buy-in and approval for recommendations
Provide leadership within SoftServe’s most strategic enterprise engagements
Maintain a professional, authoritative presence in client settings at all levels in the business
Be truly consultative: comprehensive in analysis, thorough in presentation, and confident in taking a position
Able to synthesize complex technical concepts into non-technical business value
Be as comfortable and conversant in business conversations as in technical conversations
Act as the customer’s advocate to drive the solution vision with solution owners and managers to ensure the deliverables are aligned with client expectations
Demonstrate exceptional business acumen to understand formal and informal organizational structures, assess risk, understand and contribute to strategy formulation, structure KPI’s and OKR’s, and identify ways to improve business processes and operations
Analyze and understand client business strategy and extrapolate into digital and solution strategies
Facilitate client workshops to discover requirements and accurately gauge project scope
Ensure project and solution backlogs are aligned to solution vision and scope
Gather and analyze internal and external feedback on delivered solutions, identify problem and risk areas, propose areas for improvement, and recommend additional services and enhancements
Analysis, documentation, and optimization of customer data structures and enterprise data management strategies
Participate in client projects as key advisor and client advocate to ensure alignment of digital solutions to business strategy
Collaborate with multiple disciplines and departments, including technical SMEs and executive leadership, both within clients and SoftServe
Drive and lead SoftServe’s multidisciplinary team at each stage of customer engagement
Lead solution development for our most strategic engagements
Ability to drive solution planning including target customer identification, addressable market sizing, actionable competitive intelligence, and curating customer-centric roadmaps
Proven track record of succeeding in solution development using a variety of methodologies including lean IT, design thinking, agile and possessing technical skills sufficient to collaborate with engineering
Demonstrable history of synthesizing solution introductions across all business disciplines, from engineering and devops to sales, marketing, and finance
Ability to manage the entire software development lifecycle, including solution innovation and evolution, accelerated technology cycles, solution disruptions, and changing customer demands
Promote SoftServe’s leadership within the industry
Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and discuss case studies with industry audiences, analysts, partners, and industry press to strengthen our company brand and demonstrate our capabilities
Be perpetually curious with new and emerging technologies and able to quickly recognize business opportunities for them
Aid in the research and development of new services, solutions, and markets for SoftServe
Prepare unique thought leadership content establishing vision and strategy aligned with vertical and industry initiatives pursued by SoftServe
Partner with marketing and sales to create collateral that supports specific vertical and industry initiatives
Contribute to social media, industry forums, and internal collaboration tools to promote our company brand and demonstrate our world-class proficiencies
Qualification
Required
Native/First Language, or upper-intermediate strong +
Excellent consultative, advisory, and professional services presence and track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to express ideas clearly and logically at all levels within the organization, technical and non-technical
Able to document, illustrate, demonstrate, and communicate complex business and technical topics and systems to both technical and business audiences
Comfortable presenting to large groups of people at industry conferences and events and at client sites
Comfortable interacting at all levels within enterprise organizations, including in the C-Suite and with board members
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to pick up on nuances of client interactions and demonstrated ability to lead complex matrix teams across geographic and business unit boundaries
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to negotiate, resolve conflicts, manage problems, and work in highly ambiguous settings
Proven ability to build strong relationships and strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and key personnel across geographically and culturally diverse groups
Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to deal with multiple constituencies and manage multiple simultaneous objectives
Undergraduate degree in technical discipline such as Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, or Data Science, or mix of 5 additional years of relevant work experience and industry certifications
Relevant industry certifications in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management, such as Pragmatic, COBIT, CBAP, PMI, etc
Relevant enterprise solution and platform certifications such as SAP, Salesforce, public cloud architecture certifications, etc
Enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF or Zachman
Ability to travel 30%+
Preferred
MBA, MFA, or Master's degree in a business discipline is highly preferred
Experience implementing and working in Agile methodologies, certifications desirable
