The Assistant Vice President, Ambulatory Business Operations will lead the business performance of ambulatory services, focusing on efficiency, access, financial outcomes, and scalable growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee continuous improvement initiatives across ambulatory services, including corrective action planning, to reduce inefficiencies and operational variation

Develop and maintain standard operating models for ambulatory clinics, including workflows, staffing principles, and template design standards

Drive process standardization, value-stream optimization, and access strategy initiatives to improve scheduling efficiency, capacity alignment, no-show reduction, and overall operational performance

Identify, analyze, and translate operational performance data into actionable insights that support clinic growth, scalability, and executive decision-making

Partner with Finance to support ambulatory budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and margin improvement initiatives

Collaborate with executive leadership to align ambulatory operational performance, access, and financial priorities with organizational strategy and health system goals

Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Facilities, Quality, IT, Marketing, Revenue Cycle, and others) to ensure operational readiness for new and existing clinic initiatives

Ensure ambulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards and applicable state, federal, and payer requirements

Partner with Revenue Cycle to support standardized front-end workflows, authorization processes, and charge-capture models

Support initiative design, prioritization, and tracking for ambulatory operational improvement efforts aligned with organizational goals

Work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Clinic Operations to maintain clear, consistent communication regarding operational performance, access, and financial priorities
