Responsibilities
Own mechanism design from initial concept through build, test, and customer deployments
An opportunity to work on a wide range of engineering problems: electro-mechanical design, fluid systems, test and validation, and electrical thermal management design
Design real robotics solutions to solve major humanitarian concerns and have a hand in transforming our relationship with food
The opportunity to work with a cross functional team of perception engineers, controls, mechanical design, and software architecture
Travel to industry customers to visit aquaculture farms and boats on east and west US coasts, as well as Mexico
Qualification
Required
B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Background (experience, portfolio, side projects, coursework) in physical prototyping, mechanism design and misc. mechanical engineering projects
Experience with CAD tools (NX preferred)
Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication methods and rapid prototyping
Ability to work onsite full time in El Segundo office in Los Angeles
Mid-level to senior-level role
Preferred
Exposure to robotics or embedded systems a strong plus
