Supply Chain Engineer

The Supply Chain Engineer will support day-to-day supply chain operations and assist with project management, working closely with design and engineering teams to improve product development and vendor management.

Responsibilities
Process pricing requests, purchase orders, and customer orders accurately and on time
Track order status, production timelines, and delivery schedules across multiple projects
Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, including communicating with freight partners and contract manufacturers
Reconcile vendor invoices and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and contract manufacturers
Assist in onboarding new vendors to increase capacity, diversify sources, and support cost targets
Monitor vendor performance (quality, lead time, cost) and support improvement initiatives
Analyze product costs, BOMs, and production quotes to help maintain healthy margins
Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process efficiencies, supplier negotiation, or component sourcing alternatives
Support the Director of Supply Chain in building cost models and forecasting
Work closely with design and engineering teams to support new product introductions (NPI)
Help gather supplier data, samples, quotes, and technical documentation for new designs
Support continuous improvement for existing products through component updates, process changes, or vendor transitions
Track project timelines, deliverables, and status updates across product and operational workflows
Maintain organized documentation, schedules, and communication logs
Assist in cross-functional meetings, providing updates and capturing action items
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
2 years or more of supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations experience
Strong attention to detail; highly organized with excellent follow-through
Ability to build clear reports, track data, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred
Experience working with manufacturers, ideally in hardware, electronics, or related fields
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
Understanding of BOM structures, cost analysis, or basic engineering documentation
Interest in product design, manufacturing, or supply chain engineering
