Responsibilities
Builds and develops referral contacts (customer referrals, realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts) to generate sales of residential mortgage loans and build a pipeline
Assumes overall responsibility for the residential mortgage loan from application to closing
Collects appropriate documentation from each applicant and Enters 1003 application in LOS (Encompass)
Maintains knowledge of available loan products. Originates permanent single family (1-4), FHA, VA, USDA, JUMBO and conventional mortgage loan products (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA, etc.)
Qualification
Required
One or more years of relevant self-generating mortgage loan experience
Contacts and referrals with local realtors, builders etc
NMLS License
Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, resulting in the ability to interact with all levels of employees within the organization
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word) or other transferable software packages
Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment
As defined by the S.A.F.E. Act, must register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and maintain the unique identifying registration number
Preferred
Experience using Encompass LOS is a plus
