Deputy WMEC Product Line Manager

Responsibilities
Supervising a group of employees performing work at the GS-12/13 level. Provides senior level administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit
Managing the product line to include providing routine and emergent (casualty) support for all assigned assets and their subsystems in support of operational requirements and mission execution needs, integrating and expediting required work from the PL's subordinate sections, other SFLC Divisions, and other field activities
Coordinating the collection of required data, associated with established metrics for key activities for the Product Line, so that success of the Product Line support to the vessels can be gauged and areas of concern identified
Developing original concepts for advanced business systems, controls, or analysis. Identifies alternative approaches or compromises to develop the most cost-effective business solutions
Analyzing demand trends, stock positions, procurement lead time, mission changes, operational plans, and maintenance schedules, to determine material support requirements and develop long-range forecasts for base up to five future years for material requirements
Providing officer evaluation for report input to the PLM on key military members
Supervising subordinate civilian and military members
Planning, recommends and participates in developing strategies for implementing planning for a major office or program
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the U.S
