Responsibilities

You will plan, assign, and coordinate the work activities of platform supervisors
You will assist in better allocation and management of resources based on skill mix and required work
You will review progress, quantity, and quality of work by subordinate groups, utilizing various management documents and periodic oversight
You will work to resolve grievances referred by subordinate supervisors
You will provide direction to expedite materials where special problems have developed

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination

MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101
You will be required to attend training to qualify for work assignments in areas containing possible nuclear radiation
You will be required to have the qualification of a Radiation Worker as a minimum
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements
This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job
