Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a large-scale, distributed, multi-tenant cloud services with strict requirements for availability, performance, and security
Drive end-to-end ownership of complex, distributed systems from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operations
Lead technical design reviews and influence architecture across multiple teams and organizations
Partner closely with product management, applied science, and cloud infrastructure teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
Build and evolve cloud-native services using microservices, APIs, and modern DevOps practices
Identify and resolve systemic performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in large-scale distributed environments
Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team
Qualification
Required
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5-8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including large-scale distributed systems
Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Go (Python experience a plus for AI/ML integration)
Deep experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, containerization)
Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts: consistency, fault tolerance, scalability, concurrency, and observability
Experience designing and operating highly available, multi-tenant cloud services
Strong system design skills with the ability to drive architectural decisions independently
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
