Laboratory Coordinator

The Laboratory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, sampling onsite waste, and managing third-party laboratory analysis, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
Maintains and utilizes laboratory equipment including but not limited to GC/MS, bomb calorimeter, centrifuge, auto-titrator, and flash point analyzer
Samples and analyzes laboratory equipment to assist in approving and reviewing waste in a TSD facility; calibrates laboratory equipment and enters the results of analysis into Company MMS system
Reviews analytical data and contacts customers with any off-spec issues upon waste arrival
Manages third-party laboratory analysis for TSD and evaluates analysis for waste profiling and hazardous waste determination
Performs project management functions, including hiring contractors for site projects, securing permits, ensuring compliance and coordinating production
Responds to customer inquiries regarding Company and services
Completes project billing and cost tracking operations as needed
Provides technical assistance on emergency response calls as needed
Completes lab packing and may provide direction to Field Chemists while performing onsite activities
Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Required

Bachelor's degree
1+ years of experience in the hazardous waste management industry -OR- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in the hazardous waste management industry
Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to utilize various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Company MMS
Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
