Responsibilities

Personally build and maintain quarterly corporate forecasts and rolling outlooks

Deliver clear, decision-oriented variance analysis, KPIs, and performance insights

Develop hands-on financial models to support operational and strategic decisions

Translate financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership

Oversee financial performance and reporting

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly and quarterly results

Act as a trusted business partner to operations, not just a reporting function

Maintain strong financial discipline while enabling speed and flexibility

Identify inefficiencies and enhance finance processes and procedures

Develop quick, simple, practical policies that support scale without bureaucracy

Introduce repeatable structure and discipline while respecting operational realities

Influence stakeholders across the business to adopt improved ways of working

Co-lead with the CFO the selection and implementation of a new ERP system

Support requirements definition, process mapping, data readiness, and change management

Play a key role in building a modern, scalable finance platform

Directly manage and develop one finance team member, setting clear expectations around quality, accountability, and execution

Act as a standards-bearer for finance discipline, introducing best practices from large, mature organizations

Provide coaching, guidance, and structure to peers and cross-functional leaders who may be accustomed to small-organization or less formal operating environments

Elevate the overall effectiveness of the finance function through leadership by example, influence, and consistency

This role requires the ability to influence peers with more tenure or different backgrounds through credibility and execution — not through formal authority

Required

CPA designation or actively close to completion

3–5+ years of progressive finance experience, with direct ownership of forecasting, process improvements, financial modeling, and performance analysis

Background in a large, structured organization (industrial, manufacturing, energy, oil & gas preferred)

Strong grounding in financial discipline, controls, and corporate finance standards

Advanced Excel skills are mandatory (non-negotiable)

Ability to build complex models from a blank sheet

Scenario and sensitivity analysis

Comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex issues

Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes chaotic environments

Calm, disciplined, and structured under pressure

Ambitious, hungry, and ownership-driven — a true 'get-it-done' operator
