Responsibilities
Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management
Use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases
Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements
Prepare system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation
Evaluate, size, and select technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities, for database management systems and application databases
Write and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability
Implement comprehensive backup and database replication solutions
Qualification
Required
Requires Bachelor's degree in related field of study with 8 or more years of experience or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD
Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Active TS/SCI with polygraph OR TS/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph
Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
PostgreSQL
PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL or SQL
Database design and implementation (tables, indices, triggers, stored procedures)
Strong troubleshooting skills (performance analysis/improvements)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
Full-time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible
Some travel
Preferred
Understanding of or experience implementing Row Level Security and/or cross domain systems
Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines
AppDynamics
Experience with data migrations (Oracle to Postgres) and DB upgrades
Automated testing (Selenium, Robot Framework)
AWS experience (RDS)
STIG hardening
