Underwriter of Excess Casualty
Bowhead Specialty is a best-in-class insurance operation targeting US specialty lines. The Underwriter will work on a dedicated team in the Southeast Region, focusing on excess casualty placements and performing front-to-end activities throughout the lifecycle of prospect accounts.

Responsibilities
Prepare information needed to market new and renewal business
Set up new business accounts. Including but not limited to pulling data from submission, exposure, loss history, use of Co-pilot, etc
Set up renewal accounts by providing renewal comparison, loss runs, new data, etc
Request missing submission info from brokers
Follow through on missing information after account has been bound
Assist with transaction request example confirming invoicing amounts
Handle Endorsement request to confirm accuracy and processing
Answer incoming calls
Be able to multi-task handling multiple accounts daily
Provide feedback to director on status of accounts and any missing information
Work with a dedicated group of brokers in the SE region to further enhance growth and relationships
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expertise in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe
Attention to Detail
High level of motivation to learn and ask questions
Willingness to take on challenges and new roles
Ability to prioritize throughout the day based on accounts, effective dates, types, etc
Innate organizational skills and focus on personal responsibility
Remote work with limited office space
Preferred
Industry and/or Casualty Experience preferred. 3 or more years in excess casualty
RMI Degree preferred or background in finance/business
