Responsibilities

Supervise the finance office, including training and mentoring staff on reporting updates and requirements
Design and implement an improved quarterly reconciliation process
Develop and oversee the annual budget at the direction of the President
Prepare and certify documentation for grant reimbursement process
Conduct financial analysis, audits, and performance metric evaluations
Development and implement financial policies and procedure updates
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and university policies
Provide strategic guidance on financial planning and resource allocation
Conduct budget modeling and forecasting models for revenue growth

Required

Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in a related field
3-5 year's experience in financial management
Strong skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
Experience with Sage / Peachtree / QuickBooks or other relevant financial software
Significant leadership and communication abilities
Experience in a non-profit or academic environment
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Must be energetic, positive, well-organized, and capable of functioning effectively in an independent environment and on a team
Reliable/dependable hard worker with a “can do” attitude that is eager to learn
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license required
Ability to drive a car (with a valid license)
Physical demands requiring the ability to walk unaided up and down hills and over uneven terrain; bend, stoop, reach above head; fine and gross motor skills, and work in close quarters
Normal visual acuity at near and far distance with correction and hear spoken word with correction
Fluent in English
Ability to sit and work at a computer
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and to talk fluently
Occasionally lift or move heavy objects (up to fifty pounds)
