Volunteer and Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

Manage volunteers for Popsie’s Pantry, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and coordinating food drives
Organize seasonal support programs (Passover Food Drive, School Supplies Drive, and Chanukah Adopt-a-Family), coordinating donations and managing logistics while ensuring confidentiality
Provide logistical support for agency programs, including legal clinic, trainings, and older adult programming (room reservations, supplies, day-of setup)
Support agency fundraising events through volunteer coordination, outreach, and logistics planning
Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand volunteer opportunities
Assist with social media content related to volunteer recruitment, seasonal initiatives, and events
Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, greeting office visitors, maintaining records, scheduling, and general office support
Work collaboratively with other JFS team members to integrate with services offered by agency and to develop innovative approaches and programming ideas to benefit client population
Maintain confidentiality to the highest degree in all personal and professional interactions and communications, following the Social Work Code of Ethics or other professional codes that are applicable, as well as JFS agency policy

Required

Bachelor's Degree or comparable

Event coordinator experience is a plus
Experience working in a non-profit setting is a plus
