Human Resources Generalist

They are seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Generalist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, employee benefits administration, and compliance management.

Responsibilities
Full lifecycle recruiting including but not limited to screening candidates, conducting all pre-hire requirements, making offers, coordinating onboarding, conducting new hire orientation
Maintains a complete, legally compliant employee file for all Mercy Haven employees including resident employees
Maintains I-9 records and monitors destruction schedule
Maintains an accurate and up-to-date employee schedule for all locations/departments
Maintains agency time off calendar
Assists with Worker's Compensation and Disability information, incident tracking, and follow-up paperwork
Works with departments to source and onboard interns from accredited institutions
Tracks and follows up on outstanding compliance items of employees
Acts as backup to the receptionist and covers the front desk as needed
Completes human resources administrative tasks including but not limited to handling correspondence, responds to reference requests, employment verifications, unemployment claim information requests, filing
Oversee the coordination of staff appreciation programs
Manage HRIS system
Make appropriate notifications of staff changes (new hires, terminations, leaves, etc.) and process all relevant paperwork
Assist in benefits administration with Associate Director of Human Resources
Assists Associate Director of Human Resources in all departmental projects and other related activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
1-3 years Human Resource experience or internship
General knowledge of Human Resource record retention and Human Resource Law
Proficient in Word and Excel w/organizational ability
Recruitment experience is required
Is trusted to maintain confidential information without disclosure
Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 15-20 pounds daily, repetitive wrist and finger movement, occasional travel to worksites and events
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, training and education, or Organizational Psychology
