Research Coordinator I
The University of Florida is seeking a Research Coordinator I to act as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students regarding research projects. The role involves coordinating meetings, assisting in technical report preparation, and managing travel documentation for research activities.

Responsibilities
Act as liaison between faculty, staff, and students regarding research/meetings for the research/project team
Coordinate meetings with state and federal fisheries agencies and stakeholders
Collaborate with PI to facilitate quarterly and annual research team meetings, and coordinate student and guest participation
Coordinate and assist in completing drafting/editing technical reports for biannual reports, final report, and others as needed using required formatting (Word document style formats and ensuring ADA compliance in all documentation)
Contribute to the preparation of research summaries, insights, and data visualizations for professional conferences, outreach events, and stakeholder meetings
Coordinate research and participant travel, including air travel, accommodations, and travel administrative procedures for field research and conferences
Manage purchasing and travel documentation, including use of PCards, working within myUF Marketplace and UF GO (UF’s travel portal), purchasing from external providers, submitting forms and documentation for purchases and travel
Assist in development, updates, and maintenance of project website
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Master's degree in fisheries or related field
Demonstrated ability to plan multi-investigator meetings, and meetings with multiple groups of people spanning academia, agencies, and stakeholders
Experience conducting scientific research, including but not limited to data analysis, visualization, and technical report writing in fisheries or a related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills as evidenced by publications and presentations (technical reports, conference presentations, peer-reviewed articles, etc.)
Experience with data visualization platforms
Experience with electronic data management (databases, spreadsheets, online forms, etc.)
Ability to multitask on several subprojects while paying attention to detail; well organized
Familiarity with typical institutional paperwork load
