Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies that support our mission, vision, and business goals, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion
Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent in the med tech industry, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, resolving conflicts, promoting positive workplace relationships, and ensuring a supportive work environment
Design and manage performance evaluation systems, including goal-setting, feedback, and professional development programs including training initiatives and career path planning
Develop and administer competitive compensation structures and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance with regulations
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, including California-specific regulations, as well as industry-specific compliance requirements in the med tech sector
Lead initiatives to enhance organizational structure, workforce planning, and leadership development to support scalability and innovation
Utilize data-driven insights to assess HR initiatives, track key performance indicators, and report on workforce trends to senior leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Thorough knowledge of federal and California employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEOC, OSHA)
Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization
Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with leadership

Preferred

Master's degree
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification strongly preferred
Experience scaling HR functions in a growth-stage company preferred
Experience in the medical device industry or healthcare sector
Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance within a fast-paced, innovative environment
